The redesigned 2012 Volkswagen Beetle is arriving at dealerships, and some of the first people to get one have waited nearly a year. Talk-show host Oprah Winfrey revealed the Beetle's design silhouette on her "Ultimate Favorite Things" giveaway show in 2010 and told audience members that they would be among the first owners. BMW has released details of a quartet of BMW M3 Edition cars, which is a cosmetic job on the already pretty impressive M3 Coupe. For BMW to do this you’ve probably got to assume that sales on the BMW M Cars are a bit slow at the moment, despite the constant upward growth in the last few years. But never mind, it’s not a bad way to go, and the cars do look pretty good.

Skoda is plotting a large new 4x4 to sit at the top of its range, CAR can reveal. The new SUV will compete with Korean seven-seater SUVs like the Hyundai Santa Fe and Kia Sportage, and be positioned a rung further up than Skoda's wildly successful Yeti crossover. Skoda's top brass has already green-lighted the plan to offer a family 4x4, and early prototype miles are reportedly already at the initial testing phase, CAR has learned.
